Lake Compounce 2017 Prediction
For the 2016 season, Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT added Phobia. Phobia is a Premier SkyRocket II model, and is the parks fifth roller coaster. As of now, September 2016, the park has not released their 2017 attraction. I am going to list two options of what I think the park may add in 2017, and back it up by different reasons. Please give me some feedback on what you think about this new segment of the blog!
- Return of Lake Plunge Slides- Years ago, Lake Compounce had a set of Slides Called Lake Plunge. These slides twisted around and then ended in the lake. I remember them being a ton of fun. When the park removed them, they were not scrapped. They are actually still in storage. Why would they be saved if they were not going to be used again? If this happens, I think they will be located in the newly cleared area in the water park. I do not believe that they will keep the same name, nor will they still go into the lake. I believe a new pool will be built.
- New Flat Ride/ Flat Package- I could possibly see this park getting a family/thrill ride flat package. The last flat this park added was Rev-O-Lution in 2011. It is a Zamperla Mega Disko. The park also just removed Enterprise, their only inverting flat. I could see the park adding a Zamperla Discovery/360 down in the area near Thunder Rapids. Their sister park Kennywood recently added one and guests love it. I could also see the park removing their Chance Wipeout for an Air Race or something similar. But there is no solid facts or anything pointing to a new flat ride.
I believe that these are the two most likely additions to the park. Honestly, either one would make me happy. But no matter what the addition is, Lake Compounce will still be a great, well rounded amusement park!
