Busch Gardens Tampa: Pantopia

On August 5th, 2017,  I visited Busch Gardens Tampa. This is one of my favorite parks ever! Instead of doing one huge trip report, I'll be stretching it out with different themed areas, or the different rides. Today's article is my photos and thoughts on the parks Pantopia section!

The Phoenix
The Phoenix is an Intamin Looping Starship flat ride. It is quite thrilling, and provides some great hang time. The ride itself begins similar to your typical Pirate Ship attraction, but swings higher and higher until you're completely inverted, similar to a Larson Super Loop.

The Phoenix was a great flat ride, and had a long cycle and a short line
. What more could you ask for?
Rode Once Today. Great Flat Ride!

Scorpion
Scorpion is a classic Schwarzkopf Looping Coaster. It features a single vertical loop, along with an intense layout that includes Helices and sharp turns.
The compact design actually provides a pretty long ride experience, which was surprising. Despite its age of 37 years, the ride is still smooth, and runs with ratcheting lap bar restraints.
A cool feature is that the lift chain actually starts all the way in the station, rather than at the bottom of the lift hill.
Rode Once. Great Coaster for Thrill Seekers and Families Alike!

Sand Serpent
This is your traditional Mack Rides Wild Mouse coaster. It is a decent ride, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the park only runs four cars on it, which doesn't help with capacity at all.
Rode Once. Average Wild Mouse

Falcon's Fury
By far the best attraction in the Pantopia section of the park, is Falcon's Fury. This is a 335 foot tall Intamin Sky Jump Drop Tower.
This is my favorite drop ride ever, and made me feel extremely uneasy on the first ride. You see, this isn't like your typical drop tower.
Once you reach the top, the seats tilt 90 degrees forward, giving you a straight down, unobstructed view of what is under you. This was terrifyingly awesome!
The drop itself is very quick, and over before you know it!
The seats on this ride are very comfortable. The seats feature cushioned pads, which make you seem more secure, and the restraint features a large lapbar and a soft vest restraint. For an extra safety measure, the seatbelt locks throughout the ride, along with the (obviously) locked restraint.
This was my favorite ride in the Pantopia section of the park by far!
Rode Five Times. Amazing & Exhilarating!

Pantopia is also home to a theater and carousel, neither of which I experienced, along with games and restaurants!
Pantopia uses bright colors to create a very bright and upbeat atmosphere. This combined with the thrilling and family attractions gives it the perfect mix of rides!
Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more of my Busch Gardens trip!
