Busch Gardens Tampa: Cheetah Hunt

Cheetah Hunt
Cheetah Hunt is an Intamin LSM Launch Coaster. It is located in the smallest section of the park, Crown Colony Plaza.
Cheetah Hunt towers over the entrance of the park, with an astounding Figure 8 element giving it major visual appeal! While faded, the color scheme still sticks out quite nicely.
The ride is very long, with a course of 4,429 feet and a ride time of 3:30, it is the longest duration of any coaster in the park! This action packed ride features airtime, directional changes, drops, inclines and an inversion! In the above photo, you can see the rides sole inversion, a heartland roll, which is sure to provide great thrills.
Cheetah Hunt takes it's inspiration from one of the fastest animals on the planet. With three LSM launches, propelling the train to 30, 60, and 40 mph, this ride is about speed! The ride also has some great drops and twists. As seen above is the largest drop on the ride, which is 130 feet tall into a trench!
The trains on this ride are very cool. The lead car is shaped like a Cheetah, and the spots along the ride also represent the seriously quick animal! The restraints are the typical Intamin shoulder harness, along with the lapbar, which is the part that really makes contact with your body. To increase capacity, the ride has two loading stations, meaning that two trains can load and unload simultaneously!
This ride was designed for families, but can provide thrills for even the biggest thrill seekers, such as myself. It proves to be a fun ride, without needing extreme forces or drops!
