Busch Gardens Tampa: Egypt

On August 5th, 2017, I visited Busch Gardens Tampa. This is one of my favorite parks ever! Instead of doing one huge trip report, I'll be stretching it out with different themed areas, or the different rides. Today's article is my photos and thoughts on the parks Egypt section.

Cobra's Curse
Cobra's Curse is the parks Mack family spinning coaster. My expectations for this ride were pretty low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ride is more intense than your average family coaster, and the elevator lift is a cool addition. The theming is very nice, and the Cobra sculpture is amazing!
The ride is split into three sections. The forwards section, the backwards section, and the free-spinning section. I definitely liked the free spinning section the most, as it proved to be the most intense and forceful part of the ride. I do wish that the ride was a little longer, but I think it was the perfect addition to the park!
The ride features a continuously moving loading station, which is accompanied by a conveyor belt. This makes the loading process much quicker than your average spinning coaster.

The restraints and seats on this ride are quite comfortable. Each train has two cars of four people, each with their own individual lapbar. The restraints do not staple you, and are instead, very comfortable. I believe that they're the same as the restraints on the newer Mack Wild Mouse Coasters.
Montu
This is my favorite inverted coaster that I have ridden. The ride is just so forceful and fun. The action is nonstop!
Montu is a B&M inverted coaster that towers 150ft over the Egypt section of Busch Gardens. The ride features 7 forceful inversions, including a Batwing, which is one of my favorites!
The trains feature the typical 8 row B&M invert trains with Over the shoulder restraints. There is no head banging, though. The ride is still extremely smooth!
This is a long ride also, clocking in at 3 minutes long with 3,983 ft  of track. When I rode it, the Mid Course Brake Run (MCBR) was not slowing the train down too much. I sat in the back row of the train, which is the most intense seat!
The queue has some theming, but the ride itself has none except for some awesome tunnels, which is ok, because you don't have time to notice anything while zooming through the course.

The Egypt section of the park is home to two great coasters, and while small, is one of my favorite sections in the park!

Thanks for reading!
