Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit- Review

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a Maurer Sohne X-Car Music Coaster. It is located in the Production Central area of Universal Studios Florida. It utilizes a vertical lift hill, and has multiple mid-course brake runs for high capacity. I will be going through different categories and give a score of 1-10. I will share my final thoughts at the end.
Theming
The ride does not really have a theme other than making a music video. The queue video feels stale, and is insanely annoying to hear while waiting.
There is also no On Ride theming.
Theming: 0/10
Trains
The ride utilizes 7 X-Car Trains which seat 12 passengers each. The trains allow riders to choose their music, and the trains record each ride with a camera in front of the rider. These X-Car trains also have lights on the side, which look very nice as it goes through the course. The lap bar only restraints are also quite comfortable.
Trains: 8/10
Smoothness
This ride has not aged well. Since its opening in 2009, the ride has gotten extremely rough. Both of my rides in the second car felt like the track was full of potholes. The front car still has some roughness, but not to the extent of the second car. This was very surprising, seeing how it uses only lap bars and not OTSR. I found the Lift, Non-Inverting Loop, and every one of the Brake Runs to be very smooth, though.
Smoothness: 3/10
Speed/ Pacing
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit reaches a top speed of 65mph. The ride uses this speed well until it gets to the first of 5 mid-course brake runs. After that, the pacing isn't great. Every time the ride seems to get going, you reach another brake run. These brake runs just completely kill any momentum that the ride has.
Speed/ Pacing: 5/10

Unique Elements
This ride has a good amount of Unique Elements. It has the best sound system that I have ever experienced on an outdoor roller coaster. Riders are able to choose the music that they listen to on the ride. Each seat also has a camera which records a "music video" for each rider.
Thrillz
The ride also contains a Non-Inverting Loop element which is a lot of fun. It flows very nicely and is one of the smoothest parts of the ride. The Treble Clef element is also quite unique. It contains a very tight overbank turn. The amount of mid-course brake runs is also very unique, but not in a positive way.
Unique Elements: 8/10

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a fun ride, and gets a lot of people out of other lines. Unfortunately, The TSA Metal Detectors, Roughness, and Outdated " Theme" severely detract from the ride experience.
Final Score: 6/10
