Six Flags New England- End of Season Update

The Six Flags New England season is coming to a close in a few weeks. I recently took my final visit of the season, and had a great time! In this update, I am going to go through multiple attractions and talk about how they are running, along with some photos!

Thrills By Day
Because it is Fright Fest season, the park advertises daytime hours as Thrills by Day. Multiple flat rides around the park have been rethemed for this.

  • New England SkyScreamer Backwards- By order of Mayor Slayer, the park is running the worlds tallest swing ride BACKWARDS! Make sure you get a ride, as it is an incredible experience.

  • Pandemonium Zombie Coaster- This spinning coaster runs during Fright Fest with LED lights and multiple props. I think the ride is still running great, and my rides had an insane amount of spinning.

  • Voodoo Vortex- Kontiki runs with a new name during Fright Fest, while the experience is the same, it is still a fun ride. It only runs forwards, which is a shame, but usually never has a line.

  • Buzzsaw Bloodbath- The retheme is new for this years Fright Fest. Buzzsaw is running great, It is a fun to ride when you want to take a break from the coasters!

  • Terror Twist- The Teacups are also rethemed. At night, ride Terror Twist with strobe lights. It is a very dizzying experience. I also believe that the Tea Cups at SFNE are underrated. They run a great, fast cycle here and I really enjoy it!

  • Mini Walkthrough - Located in the South End is a new mini walkthrough. It was interesting to see it, and while there is not anything special about it, I would try it just to check it out.

The Normal Coasters

  • Superman The Ride- I rode on the blue train and had a very good ride. I do hope the park focuses on the trains a lot during the off season, as the ride does have a little bit of a rattle/ shuffle. Other than that, this ride still proves why it deserves to be in the Top 3 Steel Coasters in the World.
  • Mind Eraser gave me a surprisingly smooth ride. I was very happy because the ride has a great, forceful layout. I really do believe that this ride is running great!
  • Goliath- This ride also delivered a shockingly smooth ride. The Premier train really is not working well. The ride had at least five seats out of service. This would be one of the best rides in the park if the Vekoma train was put back on.

  • Batman The Dark Knight- This ride packs such a punch. It is still providing the same experience that it did on opening day. This coaster is very smooth and is still very fun! Hopefully it will get some paint during the off season.

  • Wicked Cyclone- This ride in a whole has improved over the season. Seat selection is now available, and both trains are running amazing. This ride is phenomenal!
Six Flags New England has had a great season, and we cannot wait to ride The Joker next summer!
