Thoughts on Six Flags 2018 Announcements

Image
On August 31st, Six Flags announced the capital investments going into their parks for the 2018 season. In this article, I will be giving an overview of the additions, along with my thoughts on them! Six Flags Magic Mountain S ix Flags Magic Mountain will be adding Crazanity! This will be the worlds tallest pendulum ride, standing over 17 stories high! I believe that this will be a great addition for SFMM, as they need more flat rides for their lineup! These pendulum rides are extremely fun, provide great thrills, and are visually appealing! Great to see another thrill ride come to the park after Justice League Battle For Metropolis, a family friendly dark ride.  Watch Crazanity Below! Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags Great Adventure will be adding CYBORG Cyber Spin! This will be an ABC Rides Tourbillon, the first of its kind in America! With 3 axis of spin and brining riders 7 stories in the air, this ride will provide quite the experience for thrill se

Busch Gardens Tampa: Congo

Image
The Congo section of Busch Gardens Tampa is home to three rides. Congo River Rapids, Ubanga Banga Bumper Cars, and the amazing B&M Sit Down Coaster, Kumba PC:Parques de Orlando Ubanga Banga Bumper Cars These are pretty standard bumper cars, and looked to be pretty popular. I did not ride them, but they looked decent. Congo River Rapids This is a pretty fun River Rapids attraction. They try to increase capacity by having two loading stations, which definitely helped, but they were not continuously moving, which would've helped even more. The ride itself was fun, and decent length. I wish there were more places to soak you, as the Florida heat is brutal, but it was ok. Fun Rapids Ride, did its job of cooling guests down. I rode it once. Kumba Kumba is amazing! This B&M Sit Down coaster stands 143 feet tall and drops riders 135 feet. This beast reaches G-Forces of 3.8, takes you through seven inversions, and multiple twists and turns. Featuri

Busch Gardens Tampa: Egypt

Image
On August 5th, 2017, I visited Busch Gardens Tampa. This is one of my favorite parks ever! Instead of doing one huge trip report, I'll be stretching it out with different themed areas, or the different rides. Today's article is my photos and thoughts on the parks Egypt section. Cobra's Curse Cobra's Curse is the parks Mack family spinning coaster. My expectations for this ride were pretty low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ride is more intense than your average family coaster, and the elevator lift is a cool addition. The theming is very nice, and the Cobra sculpture is amazing! The ride is split into three sections. The forwards section, the backwards section, and the free-spinning section. I definitely liked the free spinning section the most, as it proved to be the most intense and forceful part of the ride. I do wish that the ride was a little longer, but I think it was the perfect addition to the park! The ride features a continuously mov

Quassy- Trip Photos

On August 9th, 2017, we visited Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury, CT.  Here you can see my photos and read my comments on the rides! Wooden Warrior This compact Gravity Group wooden coaster is still running pretty well. A little bit shaky, but the air time is still amazing. I bet in a few years, it will need some more retracking. Flat Rides The Pirate Ship runs a long cycle and has some nice airtime. The Paratrooper provides a great view of the lake, and has a very long ride cycle. Such a classic ride! Frantic is one of the craziest rides in the park! The inversions are great, and at times provide very cool sensations due to the seats spinning. Music Fest travels both forwards and backwards! Tons of fun! No park is complete without Bumper Cars! The YoYo Swings are very thrilling, and such a classic! New For 2017 Up, Up, and Away & Skippers Clippers were new family rides added for 2017 So was the candy sho
