Fright Fest- Six Flags New England Photos

This past weekend, we visited Fright Fest at Six Flags New England! The main reason of the visit was to get some last rides on all of the great attractions before Holiday in the Park, but we also went through two of the haunted attractions!

Superman The Ride was running amazing! There is honestly no steel coaster that I have ridden that beats this beast at night! Unfortunately, the operations were pretty poor, averaging about four minute dispatches. This plus the Fright Fest crowds made for a very long line.

Gotham City Gauntlet is fun like always. The crew on here was going pretty fast, sending cars out quickly. It seems like the brakes were toned down, making for a more comfortable ride experience.

During Fright Fest, Kontiki becomes VooDoo Vortex. The store and colored lights really do enhance the experience! I do wish the ride also ran backwards, but the current cycle is still decent. The lights would be a great addition to keep year round!

Scream is great as always! Tower B was running combo mode, which was great!

Pandemonium was fun as always. Weirdly enough, it seems the lights were turned off. A little bummed to miss of on the LightmosFear overlay, but still a fun ride nevertheless.

This year, the Demon District scarezone moved down to the DC area of the park. It was a very nice change. The area was pumping with fog and a ton of actors. It was great! Also, Kryptonite was quite fun, and they added green lightbulbs in the queue line, which created an awesome atmosphere.

The newest Scarezone is CarnEVIL. If you look closely, you will notice that the banner is actually made out of a raft from the old Splashwater Falls ride, which looks very cool!

The Joker was also running quite well. It seems that ever since they removed a few sets of magnetic spins, the ride is actually flipping more! So much fun!

I somehow forgot to take a photo of this, but Wicked Cyclone was running great! Such an amazing attraction! Pure Ejector Fun!

ScareZone/ Haunt Reviews
The Aftermath: Zombies Revenge is always great. The props and sets are absolutely wonderful and well themed. Unfortunately, the experience itself fell flat, with there being very few actors inside the trail. With a few more actors, the total experience could be amazing!
Score: 6/10

Midnight Mansion has been a staple at Six Flags New England for many years, and is usually a pretty good haunt. Unfortunately this year, it changed for the worse. It seems to have been shortened a considerable amount from previous years, and the groups were being sent so close together, that the actors wouldn't have time to reset. If the haunt was put back to its original length, and there was better spacing between the groups, the score would be much higher. The actors, however were doing their best, so props to them!
Score: 4/10

Graveyard: This is the Scarezone for Main Street, and it is quite good. Lots of actors and fog making for a terrifying walk! 7/10

CarnEvil: The South End scare zone was pretty good, but I wish there were some more actors! The props only go so far. The best part about CarnEvil is Terror Twist, the overlay on the Tea Cups, which enhances the experience with pounding music and strobe lights! 6/10

Undead Alley: The North End Scarezone is awesome! Good amount of actors, and the props are great! Pandemonium Zombie Coaster exemplifies the area too! While there is no set theme, it is just pure spookiness, which is great! Also located in the North End is SkyScreamer Backwards, which is absolutely nuts! 8/10

Demon District: Now in the DC area of the park, was very nice. The area was filled with actors and fog, and the Demon prop was absolutely insane while moving. The only thing I would change would to extend the area throughout the whole DC area, as it felt a little small. 8/10

Tombstone Territory: The Crackaxle Canyon Scarezone was pretty good and filled with western zombies. The show in this area was Mort's Used Coffins, and it's pretty funny! The Fright Fest Overlay for Bumper Cars, Rage in the Cage, is quite fun. It turns the typical Bumper Cars into a glowing blacklight experience! 9/10

Unfortunately, we were not able to try out the other Haunted Walkthroughs due to time, but be sure to check them out when you visit! We did review them in last years Fright Fest Report, so be sure to check that out Here!

All in all, it was a very fun event! The chilling atmosphere and the thrilling rides made for an exciting night!

Thanks For Reading!
