Hersheypark Photos & Review

On Friday, April 14th, I visited Hersheypark for the first time! I wasn't sure what to expect with this park. As I arrived, the crowds were huge! This was only their second weekend of operations, so I wasn't expecting everything to be 100% great yet.
I started the day off with Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit is the parks Intamin looping coaster which also has a 97 degree beyond vertical drop.
The ride features 6 crazy inversions, including the Two-Inversion "Norwegian Loop".
I really liked Fahrenheit! It was intense, smooth, and had some great inversions! The crew was moving pretty quick, and they even added the third train! The only downside to this ride was how hard the seats were.

Next up was Wildcat. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of this fun GCI wooden coaster. The ride was a little bit rough, but not bad. I actually found it to be pretty good!
I also have no photos of Laff Track, but I really didn't enjoy the ride, and found it to be a waste of time. This spinning coaster barely spun, and the inside of the ride building was way to bright. It was very easy to see everything, and I thought that this detracted from the entire experience.
Next up was the "Lighting" side of Lighting Racer. This Dueling/Racing GCI wooden coaster was very fun and smooth! The racing element added a ton of fun to the ride!
I definitely preferred Lightning Racer to Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa, which was a similar coaster that closed a few years back.

I also don't have a photo of this next coaster, but the next ride was Wild Mouse. This is just a standard Wild Mouse model, nothing really special about it. The park was only running 4 cars on the track while they still had a bunch on the transfer track, and this upset me a little bit because they are not running the ride at full capacity.
Next was Storm Runner, The parks Intamin launch coaster. The ride itself was very fun! The launch was great and the entire coaster was very intense. I found the final element, the "Flying Snake Dive" to be my favorite!
The con regarding Storm Runner was that they were only running one train, and the attendants were moving very slowly. I think its unacceptable to be running a single, twelve passenger train on one of the most popular rides in the park.

I passed the new Hershey Triple Tower attraction, but decided not to ride as the line was quite long. The ride did look very nice!
Great Bear was the next coaster I rode. This B&M Invert takes riders over the nearby creek and upside down Four Times!
This was probably the most interesting Invert I've ridden. I really like how it interacted with the terrain, water, and midway!
It was pretty intense too!

Next was SooperDooperLooper, which I also do not have a picture of. The ride was fun, pretty standard for a small looper. I'd put it on par with Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Next up was Skyrush, the parks Intamin Hyper Coaster.
This is probably the most intense coaster I've been on. The ejector air time is extreme! I actually felt like I was going to get thrown off many times!
The down side of this attraction is the restraints. They really do dig into your thighs. The operations on this ride were not great either, and attendants definitely could have been moving faster.
My final ride was Comet. It was pretty smooth, and a pretty good ride. It's a classic wooden roller coaster, nothing really special about it.

I really enjoyed Hersheypark, and hope to return soon!
