The Joker- Six Flags New England Construction Update
We're back with a BRAND NEW construction update for The Joker 4D Free Fly Coaster.
This will be Six Flags New England's "13th" coaster! Thanks to DylanBizarro for allowing us to use his pictures!
Let's start with an overview of The Jokers plot of land. Splashwater Falls is completely gone, and it looks like all of the footers are in place. I expect vertical construction to start within the next few weeks.
Upon further inspection, it seems as if the park has built the control station, which is located directly behind the Candy Cabin.
In the bottom left of this photo, you can see another new building, which looks to be about the same size as the Wicked Cyclone Storm Center gift shop, which leads me to believe that the park will put the enterance and exit near Batman and Crimewave. If they do this, the area from Works and Coldstone, all the way to Hurricane Harbor could become Gotham City, and finish what never got completed in 2008.
Currently, the park has track for the coaster sitting in the employee lot. It does not appear that there are any supports on the property yet.
In other news, I recently heard a rumor that Mind Eraser could be receiving new trains, in addition to VR. Now, sitting outside of Mind Eraser, in the old Spider location are some wooden crates, which look like they could be holding coaster cars. So maybe SFNE is choosing to refresh all of the South End.
Also, it seems as if The Blitz (Slingshot) is also being relocated. It's currently missing one half a tower.
Also, there is a new construction site located across from Tea Cups that looks to be about the same size as the current Slingshot footprint. Located in the bottom right of the next photo.
Thanks for reading!
