Fun Spot America Kissimmee Report

Image
While in Florida for IAAPA, I was able to visit Fun Spot America in Kissimmee. Fun Spot Kissimmee is one of two Fun Spot parks in Florida. They are home to three roller coasters, many flat rides, go-karts, and the World's Tallest SkyCoaster. Mine Blower The star of the park is the Gravity Group wooden coaster, Mine Blower. This ride is incredible. It packs an insane amount of elements in its compact footprint, including an inversion! The ride provides great air-time EVERYWHERE! The first drop has some insane airtime in the back row! The inversion is a ton of fun, and this is actually where the On-Ride photo is taken! This ride is really great. It is fun and intense, and is what I believe to be the best operating wooden coaster in Florida. That being said, the ride is quite rough. It is not an unbearable roughness, but I was expecting a smoother ride for a coaster that is less than a year old. But like I said, it is not too rough, and it did not stop me from rid

Fun Spot America Orlando Report

Fun Spot America Orlando is one of two Fun Spot properties in Florida. The park is home to three roller coasters, multiple flat rides, and a 250ft tall Skycoaster. A nice change from the major parks in Orlando, admission to the park is free. Rides are either pay-per-ride or included on an all-day wristband! The park is also home to a large arcade filled with tons of games! One of the coolest features of this park is GatorSpot, which is a section created with GatorLand and has actual living alligators to look at! With all of this in mind, let's get onto the rides! White Lightning White Lightning is the gem of this park. Standing at almost 70ft tall, this amazing coaster from Great Coasters International (GCI) contains a plethora of airtime, and multiple banked turns, twisting you all around! Despite its small size, White Lightning is INTENSE! GCI really packed a lot into a small layout. Here's a photo of the rides turnaround. With a bank of 90 degrees, riders are sure

Magical Midway Report

Image
The first stop on my Orlando trip was Magical Midway. I landed at the airport around 10pm and was at Magical Midway around 11. This was my first of three visits during my trip, and I''ll explain what led me to come back multiple times below. Magical Midway is home to the World's Tallest Slingshot ride. They offer packages for riding. I chose the $50 package, which included a ride, a video, and a T-shirt. Every time you come back to Magical Midway after buying this package, you can ride the Slingshot for only $15. This is what led me back so many times! Check out my my reverse POV on the Slingshot below! It is so much fun! Magical Midway is also home to a 250 foot Funtime Star Flyer, which was a lot of fun and provided great views! The park also has a non operational S&S Shot Tower. It's unique because it only has four seats. I believe it was the S&S Prototype. When I asked an employee if it would reopen, the told me "no"

IAAPA Photos. My Second Day

Image
Here are my IAAPA photos from my second day, showcasing some stuff I didn't see on my first day! My first stop was MaxFlight, which was showcasing their new VR Model. It was great, and extremely immersive! Not only do you have the 360 degree world around you, but you get to control your ride experience! Over at Mamma Mia Rides was this very cool Swinging Ship in which the seats moved up and down. I tried it out and it provided some pretty cool airtime! Hope we will see some of these rides pop up at some parks soon! Here are the two new Skyline Attractions Skywarp models. The top one being the Skywarp Eclipse and the bottom one being the Skywarp Horizon. They both look awesome and I believe we'll be seeing these soon. Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) was showing off some spiffy trains, including their articulating PTC 360s, which is shown in the top two photos. Zamperla was showcasing the CosmoJet, where there is a screen in f
