Image
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced one of the most anticipated attractions for 2020, but have not given us many details. What we do know is that Rocky Mountain Construction will (finally) renovate the standing but not operating Gwazi wooden coaster! This is something that many people have been hoping for since the ride closed in 2015, and is finally happening!  Above is a video from Busch Gardens Tampa announcing the 2020 Hybrid Coaster. PC: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay What we do know are some very vague, yet exciting facts! The new hybrid Gwazi will be: The Tallest Hybrid Coaster in North America The World's Fastest Hybrid Coaster The World's Steepest Hybrid Coaster By telling us this, we know that the ride will stand taller than 205 feet, which currently the tallest hybrid coaster in North America. We also know that the top speed of the ride will be over 74mph, as that's the current record, and by being the steepest, it will have a BEYOND VERTICAL

Knoebels Photos

Well, these photos should not have taken me over 6 months to post, but better late than never. These photos are from my trip to Knoebels back in August of 2018! This was my first time there and this park was absolutely incredible! Below you will find photos from my trip, along with a few words about the different rides and attractions that I was able to experience during my visit. Phoenix I went to ride Phoenix with high expectations, as I heard absolutely phenomenal things about this coaster. Even with my expectations high, I was still blown away by this coaster, and absolutely shocked at the airtime. Because this ride has Buzz Bar restraints, riders are able to float in their seats during the airtime moments, which makes it even more incredible! Flying Turns Flying Turns was another coaster I had heard a lot about, as it's the only Wooden Bobsled coaster operating, and took the park years to get operating to where they felt comfortable putting guests on

Coastin' with Dan

Welcome back to my first post after my few month hiatus. If you're reading this, thanks for still being a supporter! I decided to take a few months off from making posts to really think about how I wanted to go forward using this platform. With that came the choice to rebrand both my blog and Youtube channel from  New England Coaster News  to  Coastin' with Dan.  I decided to do this for a few reasons, the first being that I really was not posting much news, and was using both platforms to document my personal trips to different parks! Secondly, I decided that as I begin to travel to parks outside of New England, the old name wouldn't be fitting, and really thought a revamp would be a good idea. Now, I do not expect to be posting super often, but whenever I visit a park, be sure to expect to see photos posted online, and new video footage posted on my  Youtube Channel  when possible. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for new content!
